The Ministry of Culture has awarded twelve musical composition commissions to Luxembourgish or resident composers in 2025
Ten commissions were awarded in the context of the public call for commissions of musical works intended for orchestras or musical ensembles for the 2025/2026 season, while two commissions were awarded on the occasion of the accession to the throne of HRH Grand Duke Guillaume.
Call for Musical Commissions
The call for musical commissions for ten orchestras or ensembles for the 2025/2026 season generated considerable interest within the musical community, with 25 applications submitted for 10 available commissions. The total budget allocated to these commissions was €56,500.
The compositions were awarded as follows:
- Raoul Christophe for the Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra
- Olivier Dartevelle for the Grand Ducal Military Music
- Dylan Fixmer for the Luxembourg Philharmonic Academy
- Gilles Heinisch for United Instruments of Lucilin
- Christophe Mirkes for Kammerata Luxembourg
- Jeannot Sanavia for the Luxembourg Vocal Ensemble
- Max Serra for the Estro Armonico Orchestra
- Kerry Turner for European Soloists Luxembourg
- Roland Wiltgen for the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra (OPL)
- Tatsiana Zelianko for the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra

I am pleased to inform you that on Sunday November 30th, at the Philhamonie of Luxembourg, the friends of the Philharmonie will play my last piece Landscape with no land. This is a sextuor for piano and winds. Exceptionally I will be on stage playing piano in my own piece.
